In the anti-corrosion construction process of oil and gas pipelines, the surface treatment of seamless Steel Pipes is one of the key factors that determine the anti-corrosion life of the pipeline. The strong combination of anti-corrosion layer and seamless steel pipe is a prerequisite. According to research from professional research institutions, the life of the anti-corrosion layer depends on the type of coating, the quality of the coating and the construction environment.
The surface treatment of seamless steel pipes will affect the life of the anti-corrosion layer by about 50%. Therefore, whether it is a seamless pipe or a Welded pipe, we must strictly follow the requirements of the steel pipe surface anti-corrosion layer specifications and continuously improve the surface treatment method of the steel pipe. The main methods of de-embedding seamless steel pipes are as follows:
1. Cleaning
Solvents and lotions are used to clean steel surfaces to remove oil, grease, dust, lubricants and similar organic matter. However, it cannot remove rust, rust, flux, etc. from the steel surface. Therefore, it is used only as an aid in defensive operations.
2. Pickling
Typically, chemical cleaning and electrolysis are used for pickling treatments. Pipe anticorrosion is just chemical pickling, which can remove scale, rust and old coatings, and can sometimes be used as a reprocessing after sandblasting and rust removal. Although chemical cleaning can achieve a certain degree of cleanliness and roughness, its anchoring pattern is shallow and prone to contamination of the surrounding environment.
3. Tool rust removal
Mainly by using wire brushes, etc., the surface of the steel is polished to remove scale, rust, welding slag, etc. The rust removal ability of hand tools can reach Sa2 level, while the rust removal ability of power tools can reach Sa3 level. If the surface of the steel is adhered to the oxide scale, the rust removal effect of the tool will not be ideal, and the anchoring depth required for anti-corrosion structures will not be achieved.
4. Spray rust removal Spray rust removal

Spray rust removal Spray rust removal is a high-speed motor that drives the spray blades to rotate at high speed, so steel balls, steel sand, wire fragments, minerals and other abrasives are sprayed on the surface of the seamless steel pipe under the force of the centrifugal force of the motor. , not only can completely remove oxides. , rust and dirt, and seamless steel pipes can achieve the required uniform roughness under the action of severe impact and friction of abrasives.
After spray rust removal, not only can the physical adsorption of the pipe surface be expanded, but the mechanical adhesion of the anti-corrosion layer to the pipe surface can also be enhanced. Therefore, jet descaling is an ideal method to eliminate pipe corrosion. Usually, shot peening is mainly used for the inner surface treatment of pipes, and shot peening is mainly used for the outer surface treatment of seamless steel pipes.
